Snowflake Challenge - Day 2

Day 2 : In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone with grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish.

Oh man. It is so hard for me to ask for things. But last year some people gave me some really great things from this. It's funny, but I'm putting down pretty much the same things this year that I had last year:) I do have a Dreamwidth post that I keep updated that is a list of all things Jinxy which is basically my ultimate list of stuff I like for gifty reasons. (It's super kink heavy-so enter at your own risk!) Otherwise, here ya go:
 

• I'm currently podficcing Dira Sudis's fic Sell Your Body To The Night for which the awesome reena_jenkins is making me coverarts because she's a gift. But I'm a musical person and I'm surprisingly uncultured when it comes to music. So I'd love someone to make me a fanmix/playlist for this fic. In general I get most of my music ideas from listening to people's 8tracks fannish playlists. So they are totally invaluable to me.
• Although I've gotten better at making coverart, I consider my covers rather boring and mediocre. I always see my fellow podficcers with people that help them make art, and I'd love to have someone to go to for covers/ideas. I have a list of things I'm currently recording that I'd super enjoy to have help making art for (especially the auction fics). Last year majoline made me a super awesome cover, btw so props to her:)
• My ot3 is in the Teen Wolf fandom. Derek/Laura/Stiles (or Derek/Cora/Stiles) which I eat up with a spoon. There is practically zero fanworks of these pairings. And let me tell you I've read them all and podficced most of them. I just need this pairing with a burning passion. I'd love for someone to write them for me. Preferably Derek being the meat in a Hale/Stilinski sandwich *waggles eyebrows*
• And basically the only other thing I'd like is feedback for myself and for other podficcers. Authors get a load of comments/kudos/bookmarks/feedback but podficcers are lucky to get any sometimes. So I'd like people to gift any podficcer they know with some feedback because you want to and because you appreciate the work and time that they put into bringing fics to life with their aural tones. :DDD

Yup, that's all I've got right now. Why is that so hard asking for things??

Asking is hard if you feel like you're bothering people. I actually found it easy to be greedy, because I don't expect anyone to read or react to my list. :) But you did well in getting it out there! *hugs* :D

Hooray for podficcers! You're right, they need more love. :D I have a friend who podfics and I don't nearly listen enough of her work. (I can't sit down long enough for that. I have a hard time listening through my own things.) But whenever I do listen, I make it a point to comment on her work, even if I'm chatting with her, because comments are love. <3

Here from Snowflake, not making promises here but bookmarking this because I think I might be able to fill at least one wish here? I'm currently reading Sell Your Body To The Night and really into making fanmixes atm so I shall have a think about possible songs as I read at least.

I also like new pairing challenges and Derek/Laura/Stiles sounds like fun! Added it to my writing list and hoping to get a god idea for it.

If nothing else, I do try to give podficcers as much love as possible. :)

I shall be back and let you know if I manage to get a fanmix or/and fic together for you!

I just need to put down here, that I am so excited that you are doing Sell Your Body to the Night! I cannot wait. Like at all... okay, i can wait but I'm bouncing about it! <3 Just felt the need to leave that there.

Podficcers totally need more love! I approve of this. Whenever I get a chance to listen, and I'm not all distracted by recording myself, I drop a line or a kudos, usually a kudos first, then ramble-filled love later. (I need to listen more, so many amazing podficcers n stories, so little time. <3)

:D:D:D:D:D TOTALLY EXCITED ABOUT YOUR EXCITEMENT!!! I just finished recording chapter 4 so I will probably finish in about a week and a half, then onto editing. And damn, it's gonna be a long one! I hope to have it out at the end of the month! <3

I agree! I need to listen more and react. It's thing I'm trying to improve the most on.

I just wanted to tell you that your wish (and a discussion I had with another snowflaker in my own journal about character voices) inspired me to leave a comment for a podfic I've listened to many, many times and love very much but never got around to leave feedback for before.

I am very shy about feedback for podfics, because I don't record myself, and I don't know anything about the technical side of it. But I listen to a lot of podfic, and I think I've identified some things I like by now. So I will definitely try and leave more comments from now on, even if it does only concern things like character voices, music choices, timing and speed, etc.
