Okay. Love meme door opened. I'm not gonna lie to you, I feel a bit dubious about asking people to leave me compliments. If this is something you'd like to do, awesome. If not, I'm not going to be fussed if I get no comments. I have a hard time liking myself most days, so I really don't expect anyone else to do it.

So, I remember last year when you got drunk and some things that you couldn't remember and had to take some time off from the Internet. I wanted to give you the biggest hug ever. (Still do, tbh.) Obviously, you've moved on, but I wanted to pride you on staying strong and taking care of yourself first. You gathered your courage, put up a post telling people what you did, and put yourself first. That was the bravest, most dynamic thing I've seen anyone in fandom do, so props to you, Jinxy.

I have a hard time liking myself most days

I think this is something that a lot of us struggle with, not necessarily because we've been mistreated (though maybe you have, I don't know), but also just because it is so difficult to sit down and look at ourselves and say "I like me, I'm great" when things move so fast. But I can tell without even knowing you that you ARE great, and liking ourselves is a process, and the important thing to remember is that we're all at different places at different times, but we're all on the road together.

I don't know you (yet?) so I can't really describe in detail how wonderful you are (though you totally are, I'm sure of it!). And I think you're seriously brave to do today's snowflake when you're uncomfortable with the idea. I'm kinda glad that I'm not the only one finding today's challenge hard! Our fandoms don't seem to cross, but I love that you post recs often (and lots at the same time too)...it's a reflection of someone who not only finds beauty but is willing to share it with others.

We don't know each other well enough to be using the L word, darling. :) What I can say is that I've been in fandom long enough to recognize someone who conducts herself in that space with intelligence, class and compassion, and you are most definitely one of those. Rock on with your bad self. ;)
